Bariatric Wheelchair Minimaxx With Push Motor
Minimaxx With Push Motor is a strong power pack that assists the caregiver propelling the wheelchair with a bariatric user forward (or backwards) without effort. Use of the push motor function also benefits caregivers by reducing wrist stress and the risk of sore shoulders.

Push Motor is intended for mounting on a Minimaxx Wheelchair. A Minimaxx Wheelchair Push has a maximum user weight of 200 kg. Minimaxx Wheelchair Push can, however, be used up to 325 kg, but be aware that the engine power decreases when the user weighs more than 200 kg. The service life of the push motor is also shortened when the user weight exceeds 200 kg. Minimaxx Wheelchair Push is used outdoors and indoors in institutions, hospitals, care centers and in private homes.

Bariatric Folding Wheelchair Minimaxx Push Motor also provides a practical and comfortable seating to support the requirements of the bariatric user.

Operation:

Push Motor is easy to operate. The control panel is located on the handle and shows the “Drive” and “Reverse” functions as well as speed control of 1-5 km/h. Even on sloping surfaces with inclines of up to 5%, it is easy to drive the Minimaxx Wheelchair Push “over the top”.

Downhill, the disc brake system provides a high degree of safety. If an immediate stop is needed, simply pull the lever. This causes the Minimaxx Wheelchair Push to stop immediately.

Construction:

In the construction of Minimaxx Wheelchair a tube technology with light tubes has been used, which is also used on MTB bikes and road bikes (STW = Stiffness To Weight). Therefore, the Minimaxx Wheelchair Push weighs only about 9% of its weight capacity.

The castors on Minimaxx Wheelchair Push are located further forward than on standard wheelchairs. This ensures stability and prevents the wheelchair from tipping over.

Bariatric Folding Wheelchair Minimaxx is fitted with a viscoelastic foam cushion, providing a more comfortable seating. It also offers protection, fitted with a two-way stretch vapour permeable incontinence cover and non-slip base.

Bariatric Wheelchair Minimaxx With Push Motor can easily be transported thanks to its rigid folding mechanism, which reduces the size of the wheelchair for easier storage and transportation. It also has puncture-proof wheels and parking brakes.

Armrest:

Bariatric Folding Wheelchair Minimaxx folds up easily and is easy to bring along. The folding system is very easy to activate, and gives at the same time great support to the seat. The design of the folding system makes the chair rigid. When unfolded the chair is also much more stable than normal foldable wheelchairs.

Construction:

STW (Stiffness To Weight) was our goal. We used very light tubing technology as used on high end MTB and road bikes. This Minimaxx only weighs approx. 9% of its weight capacity and still provides a smooth drive thanks to the rigid folding system and light tubing.

Bariatric Folding Wheelchair Minimaxx drives very well due to the position of the rear and front wheels. It is designed so the rear wheels carry most of the user’s weight making it much easier for the user to push. The castor wheels are further in front as on standard chairs. This prevents the chair from tipping.

The low seat height makes it easy to access the chair and still propel it.

The push handles are designed so the attendant can easily use his/ her body to turn and push the chair. The padded handles are at an angle that puts as little strain to the wrists and shoulders as possible.

Bariatric Folding Wheelchair Minimaxx has disc brakes as an additional option. Little effort is required to brake the chair even with a full load. To the disc brake is also added a parking brake and the chair also has a wheels lock. Another option is the sport armrests.

Crash tested in accordance with the ISO 7176-19 standard

Bariatric wheelchair Eclipse is crash tested. This means it can be used in Community Transport vehicles or adapted vehicles for transporting wheelchair users without them being removed from the wheelchair itself. The wheelchair will need to be secured to the vehicle by a Transit Tie Down System (accessory).

Safe transport is a key element in a wheelchair user’s ability to access medical facilities as well as to improve quality of life, by being able to enjoy day trips out and holidays.

The 24” rear wheels are solid, provides stability and allows easy steering and movement of the chair using minimal energy. The wheelchair has a basket attached under the seat for storing personal belongings during transit.

The inside width of Bariatric Wheelchair Transporter is 71 cm. Using a five cm high foam seat and seven cm free space to the armrests allows space for adipose tissue.

The space between backrest and seat has a clearance of 32 cm. The clearance provides good support to the lumbar spine for users with a protruding behind. It also enables the caregivers to reach for a sling under the user when positioning the user.

Solid footrests:
